26th April 2014 Windsurfing: Felixstowe Dip Wind Direction: S Wind Stength: F4 Surf / Sea State: waves Air Temperature: cool Sea Temperature: cool Weather: cloudy Max Speed: 22.29 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 7.2nm (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise) Arrived with DC around 3.0 so missed the session best bits, they said about an hour previously. It was windy and a few were going great, waves, flat the place had everything. Rigged 6.0/120L - no power, crap, rigged 6.7 Hellcat but although did get planning sometimes I should have rigged7.5. Sea was good near the river and had a reasonable hour. Tried my new waist harness (after trying used ones). Not convinced on waist harnesses yet - but def good if under powered cos your standing up compared to in/out with a seat harness. Back hurt a bit and def cant drive the fin as much so I had some speed loss, but was way under powered, so not a true test - will persevere. Did the North shoxs px scheme and tried the 2014 shoxs. It seems much smoother, at the back of the lip, not smacking by bottoming out..... more tests.. |
